Oh how I love my KIDS!!!!

The other night we were signing Christmas songs as a family. You know the traditional ones, Jingle Bells, Rock-in around the Christmas Tree, Frosty the Snowman. Kaiden and Sage were having so much fun acting out the songs and acting like they new the words as they attempted to sing along. It was then I remembered one that I had heard recently on the radio...Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer.

My kids had never heard that song before. When I started to sing it, my five year old Kaiden stop singing and stood completely still, his big brown eyes were looking at me with an incredible worry, as tears began to form in the corner of his eyes. I stopped singing the song and looked at him wondering why he had gotten so quite and worried. After a long pause he looked at me and said only as a five year old could; "Which Grandma got ran over by Santa, will she be alright?"

I then spent the next few minutes explaining to him that it was just a song and that both Grandma's are fine. Kaiden had to call both of them and hear their voices to verify they were fine. Oh how I love my kids!!!

As we enter this Holiday season may it bring all of you the happiness and joy that it has brought to my family. Please take the time to enjoy the things that are really important and create those special memories with your loved ones.

It has been awhile...

First off, I need to apologize for not updating my blog in over a year. I have had every intention of doing so but never seemed to have the time to accomplish it. Mike, finally had enough of it and is making me sit down and do it. Thanks for your support sweetheart.

This past year has been, well, very interesting to say the least. I promise I will do a better job at keeping you all up-to-date as to what is going on as we enjoy the journeys of life.

I can not believe how quick our little family has grown. Kaiden has started kindergarten and is in wrestling. He loves learning and working on his wrestling moves with his dad and sister. Sage is now going to preschool; she is my little ball of energy. They sure do keep us going...I promise you there is never a dull moment in our home :)

As for Mike and I? Where do I begin? Over the past couple of years I have been experiencing some health issues. Well, this fall I went through a series of surgeries to correct some of these issues. I am proud to say that is worked...I am finally starting to feel better physically and this has helped me and my life in so many areas. We have been extremely blessed to have skilled doctors take care of me.

Mike has been volunteering at the local High School with the wrestling team and is loving it. This last weekend he went and helped coach the kids at a tournament and lost his voice. His voice is still going and can't talk very well...between us and my kids it has been nice not to hear him whine. :)
